Pat Hewitt (nee Warhurst) was born in 1927. She made her first linen cotton dress at age 12 or 13.

She travelled overseas, returning to marry Robert Hewitt and establish Hewitt's Drapery.

She soon became known for her own clothing label.

Known as a fantastic designer and seamstress, Pat made costumes for the Alexandra Musical Society.

Broadening her skills in patchwork in the late 1970's her passion for working with material continued.
